H.R. No. 2748
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Over the course of the past two years, the State of
Texas became home to a couple of adorable new baby chicks as Craig
and Katherine Chick welcomed their beloved daughter and son into
the world as native Texans; and
WHEREAS, Katherine Elizabeth Wessels Chick, a native of
Pleasant Ridge, Michigan, and Craig Preston Chick, of Eastland,
became the proud parents of a daughter, Eloise Grace, on August 4,
2009, at 6:50 p.m.; Eloise weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces, and measured
19 inches in length when she made her long-awaited debut at St.
David's Hospital in Austin; 13 months later, her parents returned
to St. David's, where her brother, Cullen Preston Chick, was born at
8:48 p.m. on September 19, 2010, tipping the scales at 8 pounds, 10
ounces, and measuring 21 inches in length at birth; and
WHEREAS, Eloise and Cullen are thriving in the loving embrace
of their family, who will continue to nurture these notable young
Texans with all the devotion that they so richly deserve; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby heartily congratulate Katherine and Craig Chick
on the birth of their daughter, Eloise Grace Chick, and their son,
Cullen Preston Chick, and welcome the children as new citizens of
Texas; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Chick and their children as an expression
of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
