R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, John Henry Griffin, Sr., and Joyce Evelyn Griffin of
Pittsburg are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on June
22, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Griffin exchanged the vows of matrimony
in Los Angeles, California, on that memorable day in 1961, and over
the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a
devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Griffin count among their blessings a
fine family that includes four children, Sharon Louise Griffin,
John Henry Griffin, Jr., Priscilla Marie Griffin, and Diane Yvette
Griffin, with whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions
of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Mr. and
Mrs. Griffin can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate John Henry Griffin, Sr., and Joyce
Evelyn Griffin on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Griffin as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
