H.R. No. 2767
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal
milestones, and Logan Paul Boatner of Humble is participating in
that joyful occasion with his graduation from Atascocita High
School in May 2011; and
WHEREAS, A talented athlete, Mr. Boatner has been a four-year
letterman on the varsity golf team, which he serves as captain; in
addition to receiving the title of Outstanding Eagle Golfer as a
freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior, he also medaled in
district competition and was named to the 2010 University
Interscholastic League 5A All-State Team; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Boatner has excelled academically as well,
earning membership in the National Honor Society, and he plans to
continue his education at St. Edward's University in Austin on a
golf scholarship; in all of his endeavors, he has enjoyed the love
and support of his parents, Yvonne and Larry Boatner; and
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join his family and
friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Logan Paul Boatner on his
graduation from Atascocita High School and extend to him sincere
best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Boatner as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
