No. 2768 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Michael Christopher Martin is celebrating an important milestone in his life with his graduation from Kingwood High School in May 2011; and WHEREAS, The son of Julie and David Martin, this accomplished young Texan has excelled during his years in high school; a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society, he is graduating in the top 10 percent of his class and has been awarded a petroleum engineering scholarship to The University of Texas; and WHEREAS, Mr. Martin has also enjoyed participation in varsity golf and soccer, and his dedication and skill earned him the title of Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year for 2010-2011; and WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await Mr. Martin, and it is a pleasure to join his family and friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Michael Christopher Martin on the occasion of his high school graduation and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Martin as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
