R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The successful operation of the Texas House of
Representatives during the 82nd Legislative Session has been
greatly aided by the dedicated work of house parliamentarian and
special counsel Chris Griesel; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Griesel has ably handled his duties of guiding
the speaker and members through the daily activities of the
legislative session and advising them about legal and parliamentary
options on a wide variety of matters; he is assisted in carrying out
the functions of his office by Jan Meinscher, parliamentary deputy,
and research assistants Mark Burgin and Grayson Walker; and
WHEREAS, Conscientious and hardworking, Chris Griesel and
his outstanding crew have provided vital support to the members of
this chamber throughout this regular session, and their service is
truly appreciated; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby commend house parliamentarian and special
counsel Chris Griesel and his staff for their exemplary work and
extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Griesel and his staff as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
