H.R. No. 300
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Members of the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce
are visiting the State Capitol on February 8, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Formerly the Humble Area Chamber of Commerce, this
notable organization works to promote the growth and advancement of
the cities of Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita, and Spring; the group
has nearly 1,300 members, primarily representing small businesses;
and
WHEREAS, The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce has been
ably led by past president Mike Byers and current president Charles
Dromgoole, whose efforts have helped attract and keep businesses in
the community; and
WHEREAS, The direction and planning provided by the Lake
Houston Area Chamber of Commerce contribute immeasurably to the
economic growth of the region, and this special day provides a
fitting opportunity to recognize the achievements of the
outstanding civic leaders who participate in chamber activities;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby welcome the Lake Houston Area Chamber of
Commerce to the State Capitol and commend all those associated with
the group for their dedicated service; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the chamber as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
