R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned four
decades, John and Charlotte Turner celebrated their 40th wedding
anniversary on December 24, 2010; and
WHEREAS, John Turner and the former Charlotte Walker
exchanged the vows of matrimony in Yantis on that memorable day in
1970, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each
other a devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family
that includes two children, Pamela Gassett and John W. Turner, as
well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, with whom
they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past four decades, Mr. and
Mrs. Turner can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know
that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many
more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate John and Charlotte Turner on their
40th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Turner as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
