 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Many members of Young Conservatives of Texas are
 providing indispensable support to legislators during the 82nd
 Texas Legislature; and
 WHEREAS, For more than three decades, Young Conservatives of
 Texas has served as a strong force on college campuses throughout
 the state, and its members promote the conservative values in which
 they believe by organizing events, hosting speakers, and
 maintaining an active presence at the State Capitol; the group is
 well known for inspiring young people to become involved in the
 political process and for placing alumni in all levels of
 government; and
 WHEREAS, The members of Young Conservatives of Texas serving
 for the first time during the current legislature are Jordan
 Grenadier and John Montgomery in the office of Representative Erwin
 Cain, Gregory Harrison in the office of Representative Phil King,
 Travis McCormick in the office of Representative Wayne Christian,
 Charity McDonald in the office of Representative Geanie W.
 Morrison, Ashley Whitaker in the office of Representative Allen
 Fletcher, and Jenna White in the office of Representative Jodie
 Laubenberg; and
 WHEREAS, The work these individuals undertake for members of
 the Texas Legislature will augment their college course work in
 civics, government, and history and will provide them with unique
 learning opportunities; and
 WHEREAS, These outstanding Texans are performing their
 duties with skill and dedication while acquiring a better
 understanding of the urgent issues facing citizens of the Lone Star
 State, and the experience they gain here will serve them well in the
 years ahead; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby recognize the members of Young Conservatives of
 Texas who are serving as interns and legislative aides for the first
 time during the current session and commend them for their
 dedication to their principles and to public service; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
 for these individuals as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
