H.R. No. 571
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ian Martinez-Negrete of Cub Scout Pack No. 701 in
Carrollton is receiving the Arrow of Light Award on February 27,
2011, and his accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
WHEREAS, A program of the Boy Scouts of America, the Cub Scout
organization emphasizes character development, community service,
physical fitness, religious faith, and patriotism; the Arrow of
Light is the highest award in the Cub Scouts, presented to Webelos
Scouts who have earned eight activity badges and have demonstrated
a thorough knowledge of the requirements necessary to become a Boy
Scout; and
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the criteria necessary for achieving
the Arrow of Light Award, Mr. Martinez-Negrete has worked hard to
reach his goal, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a job well
done; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ian Martinez-Negrete on receiving
the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award and extend to him sincere best
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Martinez-Negrete as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
