H.R. No. 582 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Frances King is retiring from her position as court coordinator for Dallas County Criminal Court No. 3 in March 2011, drawing to a close a notable career in public service that has spanned more than three decades; and WHEREAS, A native of Tyler, Ms. King attended Emmett Scott High School and Allstate Business College; in October 1980, she became a clerk at Dallas County Criminal Court No. 3, and over the course of her exemplary tenure there, she has distinguished herself in positions of increasing responsibility, including court clerk II and chief clerk; and WHEREAS, Ms. King's outstanding service as court coordinator has earned her the respect and admiration of her peers; she has been named court coordinator of the year on three occasions by the Dallas Bar Association, in 2003, 2005, and 2007; and WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. King has enjoyed the love and support of her family, which today includes her daughter, Yolanda, her grandchildren, Dominique and Darius, and her great-granddaughter, Destiny; Ms. King is active with the Church of the Living God, where she enjoys singing with the choir; and WHEREAS, Frances King's dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence have greatly benefited the people of Dallas County, and she may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Frances King on her retirement from Dallas County Criminal Court No. 3 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. King as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
