 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, In an outstanding display of skill and
 determination, the Lady Cavaliers volleyball team of Lake Travis
 High School captured the University Interscholastic League 4A state
 title on November 20, 2010; and
 WHEREAS, The Lake Travis championship victory took place at
 the Strahan Coliseum on the campus of Texas State University in San
 Marcos against the team from Brenham High School; the game brought a
 triumphant end to a spectacular season in which Lake Travis notched
 49 wins against just 3 losses; and
 WHEREAS, Amy Neal was named most valuable player with 15
 kills, 6 digs, and 3 blocks; the Lady Cavaliers and head coach Julie
 Green also received vital contributions from the other members of
 the roster: Katy Beals, Shelby Leyva, Shelby Lineberry, Riley
 Livingston, Clare Massey, Mackenzie Mayo, Claire McCown, Danielle
 Necker, Sierra Patrick, Taylor Smith, Piper Toler, Jade van
 Streepen, and Cassie Wang; and
 WHEREAS, Excelling through teamwork and dedication, the Lake
 Travis Lady Cavaliers have proven themselves the finest 4A squad in
 Texas, and these talented athletes may indeed reflect with pride on
 a job well done; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate the Lake Travis Lady Cavaliers
 volleyball team on winning the UIL 4A state championship for 2010
 and extend to the players, coaches, and staff sincere best wishes
 for continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
