 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Katelyn Standley has made a verbal commitment to
 attend Stephen F. Austin State University and play for its softball
 team after she graduates from high school in 2013; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Standley is the daughter of Jeff and Cheryl
 Standley of Jacksonville, and in committing to attend SFA, she is
 moving one step closer to fulfilling her dream of playing for a
 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I school; and
 WHEREAS, Primarily a catcher, she can also play third base
 and fill in as a utility player as needed; talented backstops such
 as Ms. Standley are in high demand in college softball, and the
 Ladyjacks are looking forward to her joining the team; she has honed
 her skills playing for the Texas Glory, a well-respected travel
 team that competes against top talent from around Texas and the
 United States; and
 WHEREAS, Hard work and determination have enabled Katelyn
 Standley to pursue her goal of playing softball at the highest
 collegiate level while earning a degree from a fine Texas
 university, and she is sure to be a valuable addition to the
 Ladyjacks; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Katelyn Standley for making a
 verbal commitment to play softball for Stephen F. Austin State
 University and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
 success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Standley as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
