H.R. No. 803
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The City of Plano has greatly benefited from the
dedicated leadership of deputy city manager LaShon D. Ross; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas A&M University--Texarkana, Ms.
Ross earned her master's degree in counseling from Southern
Methodist University; she began her notable career with the City of
Texarkana, where she served as human resources director for more
than a decade; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Ross joined the City of Plano in 2001, and after
eight years of distinguished work as human resources director, she
was promoted to assistant city manager; since July 2010, she has
been deputy city manager for the Community Services Business
Center, overseeing the library system, Parks and Recreation
Department, Human Resources, and Office of Risk Management; and
WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of
life for their fellow residents in innumerable ways, and the
efforts of LaShon Ross are helping to make Plano an even better
place to live; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby honor deputy city manager LaShon D. Ross for her
service to the citizens of Plano and extend to her sincere best
wishes for continued success with her important efforts; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Ross as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
