H.R. No. 922 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Loved ones will forever cherish their memories of Carolyn Louise Baker of Hondo, who passed away on April 19, 2010, at the age of 67; and WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, the former Carolyn Boehle was born in Hondo on January 1, 1943, one of three daughters of Alfred and Edna Boehle; she graduated from the local high school in 1961 and went on to enjoy a productive career that included three years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and 37 years with the Medina County Farm Bureau; and WHEREAS, This devoted wife and mother shared nearly half a century of marriage with Duane Baker, and the couple were blessed with two children, Cheryl and Laurie, and four grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Active in her community of faith, Mrs. Baker was a lifelong congregant of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a member of the Lutheran Women's Group; she was also a valued supporter of her son-in-law, Tracy King, in his successful campaigns for the office of state representative; and WHEREAS, Carolyn Baker built a life that was rich in family and friends, and although she is deeply missed, she will always be remembered with great admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Carolyn Louise Baker and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband, Duane Baker; to her daughters, Cheryl King and her husband, Tracy, and Laurie Henefey and her husband, Justin; to her grandchildren, Katelyn and Clayton King and Jacie and Jett Henefey; to her sister, Helen Muennink, and her husband, Franklin; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Carolyn Louise Baker.
