H.R. No. 93
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, George and Frances Ratliff of Midland celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on December 24, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Ratliff exchanged the vows of matrimony
on that special day in 1960, and over the course of their marriage,
they have found in each other a devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, The Ratliffs count among their blessings a fine
family that includes their children, George D. Ratliff, Jacqueline
Shelby, Victor Ratliff, Donna Berry and her husband, Darius, and
Courtney Ratliff, as well as eight grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure sharing the many
special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, George and
Frances Ratliff can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate George and Frances Ratliff on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ratliff as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
