H.R. No. 955
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Glen and Sherry
Northcutt of Ben Wheeler celebrated this joyous milestone in their
marriage on March 4, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Glen Northcutt and the former Sherry Lair were
joined in matrimony in 1961 at a ceremony held at East Grand Baptist
Church in Dallas; today the couple count among their blessings a
son, Gregory, with whom they treasure sharing the many special
occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Former residents of Mesquite, Mr. and Mrs. Northcutt
owned G&S Auto Supply in Balch Springs before retiring to Ben
Wheeler in 1986; they are valued congregants of St. Justin's
Episcopal Church in Canton; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Northcutt have enjoyed five decades of
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Glen and Sherry Northcutt on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Northcutt as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
