H.R. No. 960
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six and
a half decades, Ernest and Lillian Winkler of Temple celebrated
their 65th wedding anniversary on February 24, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Winkler exchanged the vows of matrimony
at the Grove in Temple on that memorable day in 1946, and over the
course of their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted
life partner; and
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family
that includes three children, Larry Winkler, Dennis Winkler, and
Kathy Wright, and three grandchildren, with whom they treasure
sharing the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, The 65 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Winkler
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who
know them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ernest and Lillian Winkler on their
65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Winkler as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
