H.R. No. 98
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Carriel and Jannette Nipp celebrated
their 60th wedding anniversary on December 29, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Nipp were joined in matrimony in 1950 at
a ceremony held in Altus, Oklahoma; they shared in the joy of
welcoming five children into their family, and they cherish the
time they spend with their 13 grandchildren at their home on Possum
Kingdom Lake; and
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and Mrs.
Nipp owned and operated Snowhite Laundry and Linen Service in
Midland for nearly 50 years; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six
decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace
and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Carriel and Jannette Nipp on their
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Nipp as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
