 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The residents of Brazoria County lost a dedicated
 community servant with the passing of Harry Edward Wille, Jr., of
 Clute on January 3, 2010, at the age of 76, and in 2011 Mr. Wille was
 posthumously honored with the Philanthropic Memorial Award by the
 Community Foundation of Brazoria County; and
 WHEREAS, Born in New Orleans on July 2, 1933, to Harry and
 Eula Wille, Harry Wille earned a bachelor of science degree from
 McNeese State University in Louisiana; he came to the Brazosport
 area in 1991, and quickly involved himself in civic and community
 affairs; and
 WHEREAS, Using his skills as a certified public accountant,
 Mr. Wille put his expertise to work for various nonprofit
 organizations; known as a person who got things done, he served as
 president of the Brazosport Rotary Club in 1996 and 1997 and as
 treasurer for many years and was named a Rotary International Paul
 Harris Fellow and sustaining member; he was also a trustee of the
 Brazosport Planetarium and a member of the executive committee of
 the Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Wille further shared his time and talents as an
 elected member of the Brazosport College board of regents for more
 than a decade, and he supported the college through contributions
 to its scholarship programs, fund-raising campaigns, and music
 performance center; with his wife, he volunteered with the
 Southwest SIDS Research Institute, and he gathered donations for
 many worthy causes by hosting shrimp and crawfish boils and seafood
 gumbo dinners; and
 WHEREAS, A devoted participant in numerous church programs,
 Mr. Wille served as treasurer of the First United Methodist Church
 in Lake Jackson; he was known for his quiet and unassuming manner,
 his willingness to donate extraordinary time and effort, and his
 steadfast belief in serving his fellow man; and
 WHEREAS, Though it is impossible to gauge the full effect of a
 man's life, some individuals leave their unmistakable mark on the
 world as they move through it, and Harry Wille's contributions to
 his community will long resonate in the lives of all who knew him;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Harry Edward Wille,
 Jr., and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to
 his wife of 55 years, Peggy; to his children, Cindy Waldrip and her
 husband, John, and Mark Wille; to his grandchildren, Ryan Bordelon
 and his wife, Janna, Kevin Bordelon, Jennifer Daigrepont, and James
 Daigrepont; to his great-grandchildren, Ayden, Kaleb, Elijuah,
 Jaelynn, and Alana; to his brothers, Alton Wille and his wife, Judy,
 and Clarence Wille and his wife, Sheila; to his sisters, Margie
 Peters, Darlene Nall, and Faye Smith; and to his other relatives and
 friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Harry
 Wille.
