 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may serve
 to comfort the loved ones of Montie Belle Seals of Waco, who died on
 March 7, 2011, at the age of 92; and
 WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Montie Seals was
 born in Lorena on February 21, 1919; she answered her nation's call
 to duty with service in the U.S. Army during World War II; following
 her return to civilian life, she enjoyed a 40-year career as a
 beautician, retiring in 1989; and
 WHEREAS, Joined in marriage to Horrace E. Seals in 1986, she
 and her husband shared a rewarding relationship until his passing;
 Mrs. Seals was a valued congregant of North Waco Baptist Church, and
 she also held membership in the Vickery Chapter No. 1039 of the
 Order of the Eastern Star; and
 WHEREAS, Montie Seals lived a caring and purposeful life, and
 she will forever be remembered with great affection by all who were
 privileged to share in her love and friendship; now, therefore, be
 it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Montie Belle Seals
 and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
 brother, David Meier, and his wife, Jan; to her sister, Joyce
 Altemore; to her aunt, Edna Anderson; to her niece, Dawn Meier
 Rusek, and her husband, John; to her son, Melvin Day, and his wife,
 Karen; to her granddaughter, Michelle Smith, and her husband,
 Terry; to her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;
 and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Montie
 Belle Seals.
