| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, | |
| 10 | 10 | is amended by adding Section 225.083 to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | Sec. 225.083. IRVING DIAMOND INTERCHANGE. (a) The | |
| 12 | 12 | interchange in Irving between State Highway 183, State Highway 114, | |
| 13 | 13 | Loop 12/Interstate Highway 35E, Spur 482 and Trinity Parkway, and | |
| 14 | 14 | the Orange Line of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority is | |
| 15 | 15 | designated as the Irving Diamond Interchange. | |
| 16 | 16 | (b) The department shall design and construct markers | |
| 17 | 17 | indicating the interchange number, the designation as the Irving | |
| 18 | 18 | Diamond Interchange, and any other appropriate information. | |
| 19 | 19 | (c) The department shall erect a marker at one or more sites | |
| 20 | 20 | on the interchange and approaching the interchange in each | |
| 21 | 21 | direction. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
