77 relating to authorizing certain courts to access information in the
88 juvenile justice information system.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Subsection (a), Section 58.106, Family Code, is
1111 amended to read as follows:
1212 (a) Except as otherwise provided by this section,
1313 information contained in the juvenile justice information system is
1414 confidential information for the use of the department and may not
1515 be disseminated by the department except:
1616 (1) with the permission of the juvenile offender, to
1717 military personnel of this state or the United States;
1818 (2) to a person or entity to which the department may
1919 grant access to adult criminal history records as provided by
2020 Section 411.083, Government Code;
2121 (3) to a juvenile justice agency;
2222 (4) to the Texas Youth Commission and the Texas
2323 Juvenile Probation Commission for analytical purposes; [and]
2424 (5) to the office of independent ombudsman of the
2525 Texas Youth Commission; and
2626 (6) to a county, justice, or municipal court
2727 exercising jurisdiction over a juvenile under Section 54.021.
2828 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
