77 relating to the deadline for filing a suit to compel an appraisal
88 review board to change an appraisal roll.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Subsection (g), Section 25.25, Tax Code, is
1111 amended to read as follows:
1212 (g) Within 60 [45] days after receiving notice of the
1313 appraisal review board's determination of a motion under this
1414 section, the property owner or the chief appraiser may file suit to
1515 compel the board to order a change in the appraisal roll as required
1616 by this section.
1717 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
1818 to a suit to compel an appraisal review board to order a change in an
1919 appraisal roll filed on or after the effective date of this Act. A
2020 suit to compel an appraisal review board to order a change in an
2121 appraisal roll filed before the effective date of this Act is
2222 governed by the law in effect on the date the suit was filed, and the
2323 former law is continued in effect for that purpose.
2424 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2525 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2626 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2727 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2828 Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
