A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to making an appropriation of money from the economic
stabilization fund for the Foundation School Program.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The amount of $2,000,000,000 is appropriated
from the economic stabilization fund to the Texas Education Agency
for the Foundation School Program under Chapter 42, Education Code,
for the state fiscal year beginning September 1, 2012.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect November 9, 2011, but only
if the constitutional amendment proposed by the 82nd Legislature,
Regular Session, 2011, authorizing an appropriation from the
economic stabilization fund for the Foundation School Program is
approved by the voters. If that amendment is not approved by the
voters, this Act has no effect.
