                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 30, 2011      TO: Honorable Florence Shapiro, Chair, Senate Committee on Education      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB226 by Nelson (Relating to reporting individual student performance on a physical fitness assessment instrument to the Texas Education Agency.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  Student social security numbers and names are not currently provided to the Texas Education Agency for physical fitness assessment results. The current vendor would be required convert date of birth entries to age before exporting results to the TEA. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. According to the Texas Education Agency six school districts use locally developed software to provide physical fitness assessment results to the TEA.
