| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subsection (n), Section 51.3062, Education Code, | |
| 13 | 13 | is amended to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (n) Each institution of higher education, except a medical | |
| 15 | 15 | and dental unit, shall report annually to the board on the success | |
| 16 | 16 | of its students and the effectiveness of its Success Initiative. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. The following provisions are repealed: | |
| 18 | 18 | (1) Sections 61.086 and 61.9685, Education Code; and | |
| 19 | 19 | (2) Section 2056.011, Government Code. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 21 | 21 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 22 | 22 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 23 | 23 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 24 | 24 | Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
