9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 2155.202, Government Code, is amended to | |
11 | 11 | read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | Sec. 2155.202. MENTAL HEALTH AND MENTAL RETARDATION | |
13 | 13 | COMMUNITY CENTERS; ASSISTANCE ORGANIZATIONS; CHILD-CARE PROVIDERS. | |
14 | 14 | The following entities may purchase goods and services through the | |
15 | 15 | comptroller: | |
16 | 16 | (1) a [A] community center for mental health and | |
17 | 17 | mental retardation services that receives state grants-in-aid | |
18 | 18 | under Subchapter B, Chapter 534, Health and Safety Code; | |
19 | 19 | (2) [, and] an assistance organization as defined by | |
20 | 20 | Section 2175.001 that receives state funds; and | |
21 | 21 | (3) a child-care provider that meets the Texas Rising | |
22 | 22 | Star Provider criteria described by Texas Workforce Commission | |
23 | 23 | rules [may purchase goods and services through the commission]. | |
24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
