| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | is amended by adding Section 225.0341 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Sec. 225.0341. VETERANS OF THE KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | (a) The following highways are collectively designated as the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Veterans of the Korean War Memorial Highway: |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (1) State Highway 359, between U.S. Highway 83 and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | State Highway 16; |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (2) State Highway 16 between State Highway 359 and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | State Highway 285; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (3) State Highway 285 between State Highway 16 and the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | eastern boundary of the city of Falfurrias. |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (1) design and construct memorial markers indicating |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | the highway number, the designation as the Veterans of the Korean |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | War Memorial Highway, and any other appropriate information; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
