| 12 | 12 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 2054, Government Code, is |

| 14 | 14 | | amended by adding Section 2054.0075 to read as follows: |

| 15 | 15 | | Sec. 2054.0075. EXCEPTION: PUBLIC JUNIOR COLLEGE. This |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | chapter does not apply to a public junior college or a public junior |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | college district, except as necessary for participation in the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | electronic government project implemented under Subchapter I. |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
