77 relating to the execution docket and other records of certain court

99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Chapter 30, Civil Practice and Remedies Code, is
1111 amended by adding Section 30.018 to read as follows:
1212 Sec. 30.018. COURT CLERK'S EXECUTION DOCKET. (a) The
1313 clerk of a court who is required to enter information into an
1414 execution docket under the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure or other
1515 law may enter and maintain the information in an electronic format
1616 that allows the information to be retrieved on the same basis as
1717 information would be retrieved manually using an index or
1818 cross-index to the docket that is otherwise required by law.
1919 (b) Notwithstanding Section 22.004, Government Code, the
2020 supreme court may not amend or adopt rules in conflict with this
2121 section.
2222 SECTION 2. Subsection (c), Section 34.03, Tax Code, is
2323 amended to read as follows:
2424 (c) The clerk shall note on the execution docket in each
2525 case the amount of the excess proceeds, the date they were received,
2626 and the date they were transmitted to the taxing units
2727 participating in the sale. Any local government record data may be
2828 stored electronically in addition to or instead of source documents
2929 in paper or other media.
3030 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
