| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Section 773.122, Health and Safety Code, is |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | (a-1) A grant recipient may not before the fourth |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | anniversary of the date a grant is awarded under Subsection (a) |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | dispose of an ambulance for which the total costs of purchasing the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | ambulance were paid only from grants awarded under Subsection (a) |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | or Section 780.004(a) unless the grant recipient obtains the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | department's prior approval. |

| 18 | 18 | | SECTION 2. Section 780.004, Health and Safety Code, is |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: |

| 29 | 29 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
