SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 101 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize members of the Ingram family on the momentous occasion of their 30th annual family reunion, which is being held in Dallas on August 5, 2011; and WHEREAS, Through extensive historical and genealogical research, the Ingram family has traced their roots as far back as 1865 and the Civil War; from former slaves, they have become successful men and women in various communities in Texas and across the nation; and WHEREAS, They are doctors, lawyers, engineers, educators, ministers, laborers, clerks, judges, business owners, and executives, who have made significant contributions to their communities through their professionalism, leadership, and service; and WHEREAS, The members of the Ingram family believe strongly in traditional values and are productive members of their societies; they are exemplary citizens who instill the virtues of love and hard work in their children; and WHEREAS, The 30th annual family reunion is a manifestation of the pride the Ingram family members have in their heritage and of their commitment to family unity and loyalty; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to the Ingram family for a joyous family reunion; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the Ingram family as a memento of the occasion.
