SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1010 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Diane Mann, who is retiring on May 19, 2011, after nearly 25 years of outstanding service with The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio; and WHEREAS, A 1964 graduate of Lamar High School in Houston, Mrs. Mann began her career as an administrative professional in the medical field by working for doctors in private practice; she came to The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio as an administrative assistant in December of 1986; and WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Mrs. Mann has been noted for her superior organizational skills and expertise; she has risen to the position of senior administrative assistant in the School of Medicine's Department of Gastroenterology; and WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, she has handled her many duties with exceptional efficiency and dedication while continuing to fulfill the multiple and varied responsibilities of a wife, mother, grandmother, and avid Spurs and Longhorns fan; and WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, she is respected and admired by her colleagues, and her presence at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby commend Diane Mann on her exceptional service with The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and extend to her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
