SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1035
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the New Covenant Tabernacle of Houston, Texas, on the
grand occasion of its Professional Sunday, which is being
celebrated June 5, 2011; and
WHEREAS, The New Covenant Tabernacle ministers faithfully
to the needs of the citizens of Houston, and due to the guidance
and wise stewardship of its pastors, Akin and Betty Bandele, the
church undertakes many worthy projects in the community; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, the church has become an
invaluable source of strength for church members in times of
hardship and bereavement and a place of loving fellowship during
times of prosperity and celebration; and
WHEREAS, The celebration of Professional Sunday is an
opportunity for the church to share its message of enlightenment
and hope with the community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to the pastors and members
of New Covenant Tabernacle on the joyous occasion of its
Professional Sunday; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
honor of this special occasion.
