                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1237
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize Fred M. Willoughby and Terri Elizabeth Watson
 Willoughby for their exemplary service to their community,
 state, and country; and
 WHEREAS, Fred and Terri Willoughby are leading citizens in
 their community, and their achievements, both individually and
 jointly, deserve to be lauded; and
 WHEREAS, Fred Willoughby currently travels internationally
 as an independent security consultant specializing in security
 advances and executive protection; he formerly spent eight years as
 a reserve officer with the Paris Police Department before joining
 the United States Department of State Service as a special agent
 for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security; he is also involved with
 various community activities, including his interest in the
 outdoor program at Trinity Valley School; and
 WHEREAS, Terri Willoughby, like her husband, is a graduate
 of Texas Christian University; she is active in Phi Beta Phi
 affairs and is a successful and independent woman whose
 profession is interior design; and
 WHEREAS, The couple has been blessed with two children;
 their daughter, Sheridan Elizabeth Isabel Willoughby French, is
 an accomplished designer and is currently the fashion editor of
 Fort Worth, Texas magazine; their son, F. Manton Willoughby, is a
 graduate of Texas Christian University and is currently serving
 in the United States Navy; and
 WHEREAS, Fred and Terri Willoughby are dedicated to their
 family and to the betterment of their community; they value
 integrity, courage, and fidelity, and they lead by example; they
 truly represent the best of Texas and of their country, both at
 home and abroad; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
 Legislature, hereby commend Fred M. Willoughby and Terri
 Elizabeth Watson Willoughby for their outstanding citizenship
 and their many achievements; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
