                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 13
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize Bradford S. Wheeler for his many years of loyal service
 to the citizens of this country through his career with the
 Federal Bureau of Investigation and his ongoing work fighting
 crime in the Dallas-Fort Worth area; and
 WHEREAS, Bradford Wheeler graduated from Texas Tech
 University with a bachelor of business administration degree and
 a major in accounting; he was appointed as a special agent with
 the Federal Bureau of Investigation in July of 1976 and served
 for three decades, retiring in December of 2005; and
 WHEREAS, During his career with the bureau, he served in
 the Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Dallas,
 and Fort Worth offices and specialized in white-collar crime,
 including bank fraud and embezzlement, health care fraud,
 securities fraud, mortgage fraud, Ponzi schemes, advance fee
 schemes, and public corruption; he was involved in several
 high-profile investigations, and his work led to indictments and
 convictions in numerous complex cases; and
 WHEREAS, After retiring from the Federal Bureau of
 Investigation, he helped initiate an investigative unit at a
 major law firm in Dallas; in 2007 he joined the Economic Crimes
 Unit in the office of the Tarrant County Criminal District
 Attorney in Fort Worth, where he has worked in a variety of
 economic crime investigations; he currently focuses on mortgage
 fraud cases; and
 WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Mr. Wheeler has earned
 numerous commendations; a man of integrity and dedication, he has
 earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the
 citizens in the Dallas and Tarrant County communities; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
 Legislature, hereby commend Bradford S. Wheeler for his
 exceptional service and his many contributions to this country
 and the State of Texas; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
