SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 186
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Pastor Bobbie Moore for her 28 years of loyal service
with Trinity Valley Church of God in Christ and the West Dallas
community; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Moore became pastor of the church after
Pastor Delaware Moore passed away in 2004; she and Pastor
Delaware founded Trinity Valley Church of God in Christ in 1982;
she served as First Lady of the church for 21 years before
becoming pastor; and
WHEREAS, In addition to her service with the church, Pastor
Bobbie Moore served as an administrative assistant at Madison
High School and at Frazier Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, Under Pastor Moore's outstanding leadership, the
church has provided enlightenment, hope, and support to the
Dallas community; and
WHEREAS, Inspirational and dedicated to helping others,
this beloved pastor has devoted her time and energy unselfishly
to the members of her church and the residents of Dallas County;
she has also devoted much of her time to her five children, 16
grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, A woman of spiritual depth and devotion, Pastor
Moore has participated in countless ceremonies and has prayed for
and counseled her church members during their hardships and in
times of bereavement; and
WHEREAS, As both First Lady and as pastor, she has
shepherded her followers with wisdom and warmth, and the church
has continued to thrive under her dedication and astute
leadership; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby join the members of Trinity Valley Church of
God in Christ in commending Pastor Bobbie Moore for her
outstanding service to the church, her fellow man, and the
community; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
