SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 510 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Dallas on the grand occasion of its 100th anniversary; and WHEREAS, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church traces its roots to a congregation organized in 1911 under the leadership of Reverend Hartford, Carrie Daniels, and Willie Mae King; and WHEREAS, Over the years, the church has ministered faithfully to the temporal and spiritual needs of countless people; and WHEREAS, Under the guidance and wise stewardship of its pastors and with the outstanding leadership of its current pastor, Reverend Johnnie R. Bradley, the church has continued to grow and to play a vital role in the life of the community; and WHEREAS, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church has become an invaluable source of strength for church members during times of hardship and bereavement and a place of fellowship during times of prosperity and celebration; and WHEREAS, The commemoration of its 100th anniversary is an expression of the church's enduring commitment to its mission of providing enlightenment and hope to its congregation; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to the clergy and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on the joyous occasion of its 100th anniversary; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the church as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
