SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 588
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Rebecca Q. Cedillo, who has been selected for induction
into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame for her outstanding
work as a civic leader; and
WHEREAS, The San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame honors those
women who have contributed significantly to the San Antonio
community and the Bexar County region through their
accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and
WHEREAS, Rebecca Cedillo serves on the Bexar
County/University Health System Board of Managers, the board of
trustees of SAMMinistries, and the board of trustees of Saint
Mary's University; and
WHEREAS, She is dedicated to the protection of natural
resources, and she and her staff developed the water quality
initiatives for the Edwards Aquifer and researched information
for the justification studies for the San Antonio water system;
and
WHEREAS, Rebecca is highly respected for her dedication to
her work, and her significant accomplishments as a civic leader
serve as an inspiration to women across our state; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby commend Rebecca Q. Cedillo for her
exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on
her induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
