SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 662
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Larry Gallardo, who has been named the 2010 Constable
of the Year by the National Constables Association; and
WHEREAS, This prestigious award is given annually to those
constables who embody the highest levels of commitment and
dedication to duty; and
WHEREAS, Constable Gallardo has served the citizens of
Precinct 3 in Hidalgo County since 2001; during his tenure in
office, he has initiated numerous innovative programs in
addition to performing the many duties of his office with
professionalism and integrity; and
WHEREAS, Actively involved in the association's Constables
Education and Legislative committees, Constable Gallardo has
served as president of the Justices of the Peace and Constables
Association of Texas and was named Constable of the Year for the
State of Texas in 2007 and 2010; and
WHEREAS, This dedicated peace officer has served his
constituents with honor and distinction, and he is truly
deserving of recognition for his vital role in the administration
of justice; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby commend Constable Larry Gallardo on his many
achievements and extend congratulations to him on being named
2010 Constable of the Year by the National Constables
Association; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
