SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 726 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Gail Green for 20 years of outstanding service to the citizens of Texas as a trusted advisor to United States Senators Phil Gramm and John Cornyn; and WHEREAS, Gail Green began her career in United States Senate service with Senator Phil Gramm on January 6, 1991; through the years, she has handled her many responsibilities with courtesy, grace, and professionalism; and WHEREAS, She has been an able and passionate representative of Senator Cornyn's values and ideas to his constituents; and WHEREAS, She has served as a mentor and guide to several generations of senatorial staffers, teaching them critical-thinking skills, diplomacy, and the importance of teamwork and communication; her loyalty and her willingness to offer her friendship have served as an example to all those who have had the privilege of working with her; and WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, she is respected and admired by colleagues and constituents alike, and her 20 years of service stand as a testament to her extraordinary dedication as an employee and as a citizen; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby commend Gail Green on her exceptional service to our state and nation as a staff member for United States Senators Phil Gramm and John Cornyn and extend to her best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
