SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 804 In Memory of Armin F. Puck WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and commemorates the life of Brigadier General Armin F. Puck, who died March 31, 2011, at the age of 96; and WHEREAS, Armin F. Puck was a devout Christian and a loyal and active member of Coker, Jefferson, and Harlandale United Methodist Churches; he was married to the late Marguerite Puck for 71 years until her death in 2009; and WHEREAS, He was the son of German immigrants who met in California, married, and settled in Moulton, Texas; he was born on June 19, 1914, and he graduated from Harlandale High School, business college, The University of Texas at Austin, and many military schools; and WHEREAS, After his military service, General Puck worked for the City of San Antonio and was active as director emeritus of the San Antonio Rodeo; he was past president of the 141st Infantry, T-Patch Texas Army Division, a Mason, and a member of the American Legion; and WHEREAS, Armin Puck was a warmhearted, outgoing person well known for his generosity and his concern for others; he was devoted to his family, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by all who had the good fortune of knowing him; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Brigadier General Armin F. Puck and extend sincere condolences to his bereaved family: his son, David; his daughter, Patricia; his sister, Louise Plusch; and the many other members of his extended family; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Armin F. Puck.
