                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 807
 In Memory
 of
 Jesse Wallace Quinney Sr.
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
 commemorates the life of Bishop Jesse Wallace Quinney Sr., who
 died April 5, 2011; and
 WHEREAS, Bishop Jesse Wallace Quinney Sr. began his
 service in the ministry in 1968 and served The Church of God
 Pentecostal for many years with devotion, compassion, and an
 enduring generosity of spirit; and
 WHEREAS, Bishop Quinney served as senior pastor of The
 House of Prayer Church of God Pentecostal in San Antonio, where
 he ministered faithfully to the temporal and spiritual needs of
 countless people; and
 WHEREAS, The Church of God Pentecostal was blessed to have
 this beloved pastor serve as an International Council Member, as
 an Adjutant Bishop, and as Presiding Prelate of the States of
 Texas and Arkansas, and he held numerous other positions of
 substance; and
 WHEREAS, A man of spiritual depth and devotion, Bishop
 Quinney provided enlightenment, support, and hope to his family,
 his church, and his community, and he had a profound influence on
 the lives of many; and
 WHEREAS, Bishop Quinney was an inspiration to others, and
 although he will be deeply missed by his family and friends, his
 spirit will abide in their hearts for years to come; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
 family of Bishop Jesse Wallace Quinney Sr.; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate,
 and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
 Bishop Jesse Wallace Quinney Sr.
