SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 856
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Gale Moericke, who is retiring from his position as a
member of the board of trustees, Place 6, of the Mansfield
Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, Gale Moericke has served on the district's board
of trustees for nine years; he has served as the board's
president and as its vice president and has represented the board
on various committees chartered by the cities of Mansfield and
Arlington; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Moericke has a longtime association with the
district; he and his wife and children were all educated in the
Mansfield Independent School District; he is retired from years
of service in the Band Boosters, and he served on various
district administrative committees prior to his election to the
board; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, his leadership in the Mansfield
Independent School District community has had a positive impact
on the district's schools, and he deserves much credit for the
fine quality of education the school system can boast of today;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby commend Gale Moericke on his many years of
outstanding service on behalf of the Mansfield Independent
School District and for his valuable leadership as a member of
its board of trustees; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
