SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 872
WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
promise, Mike Garcia of Boy Scout Troop 6 advanced through the
ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes and is
now being honored with the rank of Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, In receiving the coveted Eagle Badge, this fine
young man has become one of the select few to achieve this
distinguished honor; and
WHEREAS, By conducting a service project that allowed him
to exercise his leadership abilities, Mike has completed the
requirements for becoming an Eagle Scout and has at the same time
benefited his community; and
WHEREAS, This personable young man has brought great honor
to himself, his family, and his troop in joining the elite corps
of Eagle Scouts; and
WHEREAS, Mike is truly a shining example to his troop and
to the young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby commend Mike Garcia on earning the rank of
Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his outstanding achievement;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Eagle
Scout Garcia as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
