 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The life of a cherished wife, mother, and educator
 ended far too soon with the passing of Johnna Puckett Reynolds of
 Driftwood on June 21, 2011, at the age of 43; and
 WHEREAS, A native of Sweetwater, Johnna Puckett was born on
 August 31, 1967, to Eddie and Ira Lea Puckett; growing up, she
 distinguished herself as a talented athlete, earning three world
 championship barrel racing titles from the American Junior Rodeo
 Association, a state title in track, and a second-place state
 ranking with the Sweetwater High School basketball team; after her
 graduation, she attended Tarleton State University in
 Stephenville, where she won the Southwestern Region Barrel Racing
 Title; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Reynolds earned her bachelor's degree and began
 her career in education with the Perrin-Whitt Consolidated
 Independent School District; she went on to teach kindergarten and
 physical education in Lake Travis ISD; in 1999, she became the PE
 teacher at the newly opened Bee Cave Elementary, and through the
 years she taught many after-school classes and coached many sports
 teams; known for making her classes fun, she instilled in her
 countless students a love for athletic competition; and
 WHEREAS, Above all else, Ms. Reynolds was devoted to her
 family, including her husband, Cole, her daughter, Casey, and her
 son, Lane; she was tremendously proud of her children and took
 special pleasure in entertaining her family and friends, especially
 at the annual Reynolds crawfish boil; and
 WHEREAS, While the death of Johnna Reynolds brings
 immeasurable sorrow to many, she leaves behind a legacy that will
 long be treasured by all those who held her dear; now, therefore, be
 it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
 Johnna Puckett Reynolds and extend deepest sympathy to the members
 of her family: to her husband, Cole Reynolds; to her daughter,
 Casey; to her son, Lane; to her parents, Eddie and Ira Lea Puckett;
 to her sister, LaDawn Daniel, and her husband, Tony; and to her
 other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Johnna
 Puckett Reynolds.
