H.R. No. 94
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six
decades, Floretta and Wilbern Peden of Midland celebrated their
60th wedding anniversary on May 13, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Peden exchanged the vows of matrimony
in Childress on that memorable day in 1951, and over the course of
their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted life
partner; and
WHEREAS, Residents of Midland for 40 years, the couple count
among their blessings a fine family that includes two children,
Susan Galson and her husband, Tony, and Diane Scott, as well as six
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, with whom they
treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past six decades, Floretta and
Wilbern Peden can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Floretta and
Wilbern Peden on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Peden as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
