A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the appropriation of money from the economic
stabilization fund to be used for public education during the next
state fiscal biennium.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The amount of $4 billion is appropriated for the
state fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2011, from the
economic stabilization fund to the Texas Education Agency for the
Foundation School Program under Chapter 42, Education Code.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect only if it receives a vote
of two-thirds of the members present in each house of the
legislature, as provided by Section 49-g(m), Article III, Texas
Constitution.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately.
