                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 109
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize Judge Brad Bradley, who has contributed significantly
 to his community through his leadership and initiative; and
 WHEREAS, Brad Bradley spent his early years in the Boston
 area and often accompanied his mother as she supported or
 protested politically charged issues of the time; he studied
 political science at Northeastern University and traveled in
 Europe and North Africa; and
 WHEREAS, He studied at the New England School of Law while
 pursuing various enterprises, including starting a monthly
 publication, the New Lawyer; he moved to the Dallas area,
 completed his law degree at Southern Methodist University,
 settled with his family in Southlake, and began his law practice;
 and
 WHEREAS, Brad Bradley soon recognized the need for the
 growing community of Southlake to plan for the future, but he did
 not sit back and wait for someone else to do it; with a talent for
 finding creative solutions, he could quickly conceive an idea and
 work with others to follow through with implementing a particular
 project; he is the originator of many organizations and programs
 that continue today, including the Southlake Chamber of
 Commerce, Summer Santa, and the Pro Players Foundation; and
 WHEREAS, Judge Bradley has also been instrumental in
 raising funds and establishing nonprofit groups to provide
 created the area's first Metroport Teen Court, and many students
 and other residents participate in an exchange program through
 the Sister Cities project he founded; he is widely recognized
 throughout the City of Southlake and Northeast Tarrant County for
 his countless contributions to enhancing the quality of life in
 his community, and he was recently honored with the Southlake
 Style Community Impact Award; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Judge Brad
 Bradley for his civic involvement and philanthropic spirit and
 extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
