SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 124 WHEREAS, Benjamin Mauro of Troop 399 in Austin has recently been honored by the Boy Scout program for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and WHEREAS, Benjamin planned, developed, and conducted a service project that has benefited his community, and he is recognized as an outstanding leader; his service project involved building over 300 feet of limestone planter boxes at Casis Elementary School and planting them with native plants labeled for identification; and WHEREAS, Benjamin has brought great honor to himself in earning the coveted Eagle Badge, and his family, his troop, his community, and his state are justly proud of his great accomplishment; and WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and promise, this personable young man advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and WHEREAS, Benjamin has become one of the select few who have earned this prestigious honor, and he is a shining example to the young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Benjamin Mauro on becoming an Eagle Scout and commend him on this great achievement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Eagle Scout Mauro as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
